Nagasaki: Minute of Silence 80 Years After Atomic Bomb

A minute of silence was observed in Nagasaki on the 80th anniversary of the atomic bomb explosion. The city honored the victims, with the church bell ringing for the first time since 1945.
On August 9, 1945, at 11:02 AM, Nagasaki experienced the horror of the nuclear bombing, three days after Hiroshima. Approximately 74,000 people lost their lives.
