Jimmy Lai Found Guilty of Sedition in Hong Kong

A Hong Kong court has found media mogul Jimmy Lai guilty of sedition. The charges also include collusion with foreign forces, allegedly aimed at undermining China's national security.

The trial has drawn criticism from Western countries and press freedom organizations, which are calling for his immediate release.

Judge Esther Toh stated that Lai had «never deviated from his intention to destabilize the government» of the Chinese Communist Party.
