Earthquake in Afghanistan: China Provides Aid

The Chinese embassy in Kabul announced today that China is providing assistance to those affected by the earthquake in Afghanistan.
The de facto Taliban government appealed for urgent international aid following the magnitude 6 earthquake that struck shortly before midnight on Sunday to Monday. The latest count reports 1,411 deaths, 3,124 injuries, and extensive damage in three provinces, mainly in Kunar, as well as in Lagman and Nangarhar.
The search for survivors continues, more than three days after the earthquake.
