Turkey Fires: Izmir, Hatay, Adana Blaze – 31 Arrests Made

Fires are raging in Izmir, Hatay, and Adana in Turkey. Authorities have evacuated five villages and two districts in Izmir, according to Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumakli.
The Minister stated that the battle against the flames also continues in Manisa and Hatay, where winds are causing flare-ups. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that 1,516 forest fires have been recorded since June 1, with 1,507 brought under control. 31 arrests have been made for arson.
Erdoğan mentioned that 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, 14 UAVs, and 6,000 vehicles are being used, with the participation of 25,000 forestry personnel. According to NTV, four fires in Izmir have been brought under control, but seven fronts remain active, and fires are also ongoing in Adana.
