45 Flight Cancellations at Athens Airport Due to Middle East Tensions

Today, 45 flights to and from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” have been canceled due to the ongoing developments in the Middle East.

The cancellations affect both arrivals and departures on March 1st. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is handling the repatriation of Greeks in the affected areas and has activated the relevant platforms.

AEGEAN has announced 10 flight cancellations for today, including routes to and from Tel Aviv, Erbil, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, 10 flights are already scheduled to be canceled tomorrow, March 2nd, and an extension of the flight suspension beyond March 3rd is being considered.

SKY Express has also canceled its flights to Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel, at least until Monday, March 2nd, due to the closed Israeli airspace.

Airlines continue to assess the situation and adjust their schedules according to the instructions of the competent authorities.
