Unknown Drone Crashes at Military Base in Poland

An unknown drone crashed at a military base in Przasnysz, northern Poland, on January 28. The incident is under investigation by the Polish Military Police.

The drone crashed near a weapons depot, within an electronic warfare unit. Specifically, the base houses the 2nd Radio-electronic Center, a reconnaissance and electronic warfare unit that monitors radio communications in northeastern Poland, including the strategically important Suwałki gap.

Soldiers reported that the drone was flying over the base before crashing approximately 70 meters from an ammunition depot. The Military Gendarmerie in Przasnysz is conducting an investigation and taking statements from witnesses.
