Munich Airport Suspends Operations Due to Drone Activity
Share on:

Munich Airport suspended operations due to drone sightings in the area, leading to the cancellation of 17 flights and affecting approximately 3,000 passengers.

Reportedly, 15 flights destined for Munich were diverted to other airports, including Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt.

The suspension began around 22:30 (local time) following eyewitness reports of drone overflights. German authorities cannot guarantee normal operations before 5 a.m. on Friday.

Due to restrictions to avoid noise pollution, the number of flights is limited from 10 p.m. to midnight, and the airport does not operate after midnight.
