Attempted Kidnapping of Student in England: Illegal Immigrant Arrested

A 27-year-old illegal immigrant from Sudan, Abdulmagawl Ibrahim, was arrested in Swindon, England, after attempting to kidnap a 17-year-old student.

The incident occurred when Ibrahim attacked the teenager as she was returning from work. Security cameras captured the perpetrator approaching and dragging the student.

Passersby waiting at a bus stop intervened, preventing the abduction. The perpetrator tried to follow other women, but citizens stopped him.

Police arrested Ibrahim, who initially denied the charges but eventually confessed to the attempted kidnapping. He arrived illegally in the United Kingdom in September 2023 and had been sentenced to imprisonment for illegal entry into the country.

A Home Office representative stated that all necessary actions would be taken to deport the perpetrator.
