Argentina: Milei's Party Wins Midterm Elections

President Javier Milei's party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), achieved a significant victory in the midterm elections in Argentina, securing 64 seats in Parliament.

According to the results, the LLA garnered 40.8% of the votes nationwide, compared to 24.5% for the Peronist opposition. It also leads in the province of Buenos Aires with 41.5% versus 40.8%.

With over 90% of the votes counted, this victory allows Milei's party to prevent the opposition from overriding his vetoes on laws he considers to threaten fiscal balance.

This victory strengthens market confidence in the Milei government and secures the support of Donald Trump.
