Australia: 13-year-old swims 4 hours to save his family

A 13-year-old from Australia, Austin Appelby, swam for four hours to save his family from drowning. The incident occurred when the family was swept away by waves and strong winds at Quintalup Beach in Western Australia.
Austin selflessly decided to swim for help, covering a distance of 4 kilometers. Upon reaching the shore, he called the authorities and fainted from exhaustion.
The coast guard located the family 14 kilometers from the shore. His mother, Joan Appelby, stated that the 8.5 hours they spent were the scariest of her life.
