Eindhoven Airport Suspends Flights Due to Drone Activity

Air traffic at Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands was suspended due to the presence of drones. The Dutch Minister of Defense announced that the military is ready to activate anti-drone equipment and that an investigation is underway.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Dutch military had used weapon systems against drones at the Volkel airbase, near Eindhoven.
The ministry did not comment on the origin of the drones. Aerial intrusions have caused problems in Europe in recent months. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called these incidents "hybrid warfare".
