Poll: 60% of Germans Dissatisfied with Friedrich Merz

A new poll in Germany indicates that 60% of citizens are dissatisfied with the performance of the government under Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Only 27% express satisfaction.
The poll, conducted by the INSA Institute on behalf of Bild, surveyed 1,004 voters on August 7th and 8th.
In comparison, after the first hundred days of Olaf Scholz in power, 43% expressed satisfaction, while 41% expressed dissatisfaction.
According to the poll, if elections were held today, Mr. Merz's coalition would not secure a majority. The Alternative for Germany (AfD) would become the second largest party with 25%.
