Greece is expecting a two-faced weather pattern this weekend, with mud rains and storms in the west and north, and sunshine with high temperatures in the east and south. Meanwhile, African dust will cover most of the country.

According to meteorologists Theodoros Kolydas and Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, temperatures will exceed 20°C inland, reaching 23°C in Crete. Some snow is expected in the mountains.

Sunday's rains will mainly affect the west and north, while a new system on Tuesday is expected to affect most of the country. Special attention should be paid to the strong southerly winds on Sunday, which will reach 8-9 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Saharan dust will start from the west on Saturday and spread throughout the country, with the highest concentrations in central and southern Greece on Sunday.

Today, temporary clouds with local rain are expected in the north and northwest. Temperatures will range from 0 to 21 degrees Celsius. The winds will initially be westerly and gradually southerly up to 8 Beaufort.

On Sunday, clouds with rain and storms are expected in the west, central, north, and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean. The winds will be southerly up to 9 Beaufort in the Aegean. The temperature will reach 23 degrees Celsius in Crete.
