EU Investigates Shein Over Pornography and Weapons Concerns

The European Commission is in contact with French authorities and the Chinese platform Shein following a complaint from France regarding the presence of pornographic content and the sale of weapons on the platform.

An EU representative confirmed that the Commission received the letter from France, which calls for immediate action and points out that such actions violate EU law.

Violation of the regulations may lead to further actions by the Commission. So far, there are no similar concerns from other EU member states.
