Engine Explosion on Arik Air Flight in Nigeria – Emergency Landing

Passengers on an Arik Air flight in Nigeria experienced moments of terror on Wednesday when one of the plane's engines exploded mid-flight.
The plane, carrying 80 passengers, had taken off from Lagos en route to Port Harcourt. A video recorded by passengers shows the left engine severely damaged.
Due to the explosion, the pilot made an emergency landing in Benin. No injuries were reported among the passengers.
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has launched an investigation into the incident.
