The weather is gradually changing, characterized by snow and gale-force winds. According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in Epirus, western Sterea, and western and central Peloponnese.

Snowfall will occur in the mainland mountainous areas and, from the evening, in the semi-mountainous areas of Epirus and western Macedonia.

Saturday: Rain and thunderstorms, possibly heavy, in Epirus, western Sterea, and the Peloponnese. Westerly-southwesterly winds of 5 to 7, locally 8 and possibly 9 Beaufort. Frost in the northern mainland.

Sunday: Increased cloud cover with local rains and thunderstorms in the west and eastern Aegean. Snowfall in the mountains and at lower altitudes in the northeastern part of the country. Temperature drop.

Monday: Rain or sleet and snowfall in the mountainous and semi-mountainous areas. Improvement of the weather from the afternoon. Northerly winds of 5 to 7 and in the seas 8 Beaufort. Frost in the mainland.

Tuesday: Improvement of the weather, with local rains in Crete and the southern Aegean. Northerly winds with gradual weakening. Frost in the mainland.

Wednesday: Generally clear weather with local clouds in the west from the afternoon. Frost early in the morning in the mainland.
