Switzerland: Explosion at Crans-Montana Bar – Fatalities and Injuries

An explosion occurred at a bar in Crans-Montana, a well-known ski resort in Switzerland, resulting in fatalities and injuries, police announced.
Gaetan Laton, a spokesperson for the Valais cantonal police, told AFP that the explosion was of unknown origin. The incident took place at approximately 01:30 AM (local time, 02:30 AM Greek time) at the Le Constellation bar, frequented by tourists, during New Year's celebrations.
Swiss media broadcast images showing a burning building and rescue crews. Crans-Montana is a luxury ski resort in the Swiss Alps, about two hours from Bern.
