Arson Destroys Four German Army Vehicles in Kassel

Four parked German army vehicles were completely destroyed by fire in Kassel early Tuesday morning. Authorities are investigating possible political motives behind the arson.
According to the Kassel police, the fire started shortly after 3 a.m. A local resident alerted the fire department and police after seeing the vehicles ablaze.
No injuries were reported, but the material damage is estimated at 150,000 euros. The state security service has taken over the investigation, as political motives cannot be ruled out.
