Clashes Erupt at Anti-Government Protests in Serbia

New anti-government protests in Serbia have been marked by clashes, with protesters clashing with police in Novi Sad.
The protests began after the collapse of a concrete pediment at the Novi Sad railway station in November 2024, where 16 people lost their lives. Protesters denounce corruption and demand a transparent investigation and early elections.
According to opponents of President Aleksandar Vučić's government, the police responded with a harsh crackdown, using tear gas and stun grenades. At least 11 police officers were injured.
