Weather Alert: Cold, Storms and Snow from Tuesday
Bitter cold is expected on Monday, while a deterioration of the weather is forecast from Tuesday with storms and snow, according to meteorologists.
Thodoris Kolydas points out that from Tuesday night, a low barometric pressure from the Central Mediterranean will bring more humidity and phenomena.
Giannis Kallianos reports that on Tuesday afternoon the weather quality changes, with an increased probability of heavy rains - storms (central - southern, including Attica) and heavy snow in the mountains, as well as in semi-mountainous parts of Central Greece and in almost lowland areas of the northern country.
In western and central Macedonia, Thessaly, the islands of the northern Aegean, Evia, eastern Sterea and the eastern Peloponnese, increased cloud cover is expected with local rain or sleet and snowfall in the mountains.
The winds will blow in the west from easterly directions 5 to 7 and in the southwest locally 8 Beaufort, with a tendency to strengthen from the evening. In the east they will blow from northerly 5 to 7 Beaufort.
Frost will occur in the morning and evening hours in the mainland, which in the north will be strong in places.
