The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) has updated its emergency weather bulletin. Strong rains and thunderstorms are expected until the afternoon of Sunday, February 15, 2026, in areas of western and northern Greece. Specifically, the phenomena will affect Corfu, Paxos, Epirus, eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

Very strong to stormy southerly winds will blow in the eastern part of the country and especially in the Aegean Sea, reaching 8 and locally 9 Beaufort. Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust to eastern Greece, mainly in the southern and central regions, such as the Peloponnese, Crete, eastern Sterea (including Attica), the Cyclades and Evia.

Attica: Temporarily increased clouds with local rains until noon. From the afternoon almost clear. South winds 5 to 6, in the east and south locally 7 Beaufort which from noon will turn to southwest and weaken. Temperature from 10 to 19 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki: Temporarily increased clouds with local rains and sporadic thunderstorms. Weakening of phenomena from noon. South southeasterly winds 4 to 6 Beaufort with gradual weakening from the afternoon. Temperature from 09 to 17 degrees Celsius.
