Strong winds up to 8 Beaufort are expected in the Aegean Sea, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). The weather will generally be warm for the season, with increased cloud cover and local rain in the Ionian Islands, western mainland, Thrace, the eastern Aegean islands, and the Dodecanese.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the northern Ionian Sea and the eastern Aegean islands. In the rest of the country, there will be clouds with light local rain in the Cyclades and Crete.

The winds will blow south-southwesterly 4 to 6, up to 7 in the seas, and locally up to 8 Beaufort. The temperature will reach 17 degrees Celsius in the north and 18 to 20 in the other areas.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the meteorological conditions will favor the transport of African dust, with possible mud rains. The winds will be south winds, with intensities of 7 to 8 Beaufort in the seas.

Giorgos Tsatrafyllias warns of intense phenomena in western Greece, Thrace, and the eastern Aegean.
