French Farmers Protest Outside Macron's Holiday Home

French farmers protested outside Emmanuel Macron's holiday home in Touquet, expressing their opposition to agricultural policies and taxes.
The farmers threw cabbages and tires outside the residence, while displaying banners with slogans such as "Eat French" and "Stop the taxes." The mobilization included tractors and a coffin, symbolizing the "death of the agricultural world."
The protest comes after the announcement of the postponement of the EU-Mercosur agreement signing. The FNSEA farmers' union federation deemed the decision "insufficient" and called for continued mobilizations.
Hundreds of livestock farmers and producers have organized blockades and demonstrations, expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of the epidemic of contagious nodular dermatitis (DNC) and the free trade agreement with Mercosur.
Emmanuel Macron's entourage stated that "the president is fighting for French agriculture and French farmers."
