France: Streamers to Stand Trial After Death During Live Broadcast

Two French streamers, associates of Jean Pormanove, who died in August 2025 after a 12-day live broadcast on the Kick platform, will stand trial in Nice in July.
Owen Chenazardotti and Safine Hamadi, known as Naruto and Safine online, will be tried on July 6, 2026. The prosecutions followed their detention in connection with the death of 46-year-old Jean Pormanove (Raphaël Graveen).
The two influencers are accused of violence against Jean Pormanove and a second victim, Stéphane G., as well as an incident involving a minor. The investigation began after videos showed Jean Pormanove being insulted and beaten during a live broadcast.
The Paris prosecutor's office has requested the issuance of arrest warrants for the administrators of the Kick platform.
