France: Nurse prosecuted for sexual assault on infants

A 26-year-old nurse at a hospital in a suburb of Paris is being prosecuted for sexual assault on infants and for obtaining and distributing child pornography, according to the French News Agency (AFP).

The case was revealed after a viral video on TikTok. The crimes allegedly took place in December 2024 and January 2025 at the Montreuil hospital. The nurse worked in the neonatal intensive care unit and has been suspended.

Her 28-year-old partner is allegedly the instigator and is accused of complicity. Both have been placed under judicial supervision. Two victims have been identified, one white and one black infant.

Many mothers contacted the hospital for more information after the videos were released.
