Documents from the French Ministry of Health, leaked to the newspaper Le Canard Enchaîné, call on regional health services to prepare for a potential 'large-scale conflict' by March 2026.

According to the documents, France could become a 'support base' for such a conflict, receiving injured soldiers. The creation of medical centers near ports and airports to manage the flow of casualties is being considered.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that these preparations are preventive and part of a broader framework of readiness for various threats, such as epidemics and terrorist attacks. Catherine Bertrand, president of the French Society of Disaster Medicine, stated that these are projects that have been in progress for years and do not necessarily concern an attack on France, but also the reception of injured people from allied countries.
