France: Fisherman Finds Dead Crocodile in Canal

A fisherman in Roubaix, northern France, discovered a dead crocodile in a canal. The reptile was found wrapped in a sleeping bag, bound with chains and weights.

The fisherman, using a magnet, pulled the crocodile, approximately one meter long, from the canal. The animal was handed over to the Animal Protection League (LPA).

In a video posted on social media, the fisherman described his surprise at the discovery. The Lille prosecutor's office has taken over the investigation of the case.
