France: Vote of Confidence for Bayrou Government

In France, the critical session of the National Assembly began in Parliament with a speech by François Bayrou. This will be followed by a vote of confidence in the Bayrou government.
Opposition parties have stated that they will vote against the 74-year-old French Prime Minister, a development that would lead to his dismissal.
President Emmanuel Macron would then have to appoint a third prime minister within a year, and the fifth since the start of his second term.
