Germany: €172 Billion Budget Deficit by 2029

Germany is facing a budget deficit of €172 billion for the period 2027-2029, according to federal fiscal planning extending to 2029. The deficit is €28 billion higher than the government's initial estimates.
The widening of the fiscal gap is partly due to the growth stimulus package, including tax relief for businesses, and the increase in beneficiaries of the mother's pension.
