Germany: Electronic Bracelets for Domestic Violence Offenders

The German Cabinet has decided that courts will be able to require perpetrators of domestic violence to wear an electronic tracking device.
Justice Minister Stefanie Hubig stated that the goal is to better protect women. The electronic bracelet will notify the police and the victim if the perpetrator approaches.
The German Justice Minister mentioned that Spain, Switzerland, and France are models for the measure, emphasizing that in Spain the electronic bracelet has saved lives.
