Germany: Flight Delays Due to Drone Near Airport

A drone spotted near Berlin Brandenburg Airport caused flight delays and cancellations last night.

Police are monitoring the area with two helicopters to locate the drone or its operator. Flights have now resumed.

Incidents involving drones near German airports have increased. The German government has announced the creation of a special coordination center to deal with drones and has authorized the police to shoot them down under certain conditions.
