Spain: Torrential Rains and Floods in Malaga

Torrential rains caused flooding in the province of Malaga in Andalusia, Spain. Authorities announced that hundreds of incidents have been recorded, but none are serious. No casualties have been reported so far.
Videos on social media show flooded streets in various villages. Emergency services are working to clean up the areas.
Antonio Sanz Cabello, head of emergency management operations for the regional government of Andalusia, reported that 339 incidents have occurred, mainly in the province of Malaga. The Spanish national meteorological service (Aemet) lowered the alert level from red to orange.
East of Andalusia, the region of Murcia was placed on red alert. Aemet called for caution in the region of Valencia, due to the risk of serious damage.
Spain has been severely affected by the floods of October 2024, which caused more than 230 deaths, mainly in the region of Valencia.
