Italy: Two Climbers Killed by Avalanche

Two climbers have died in an avalanche in the Valdidentro area of northern Italy, in the region of Lombardy.

According to reports, the victims are a man and a woman between 20 and 30 years old, who were caught in the avalanche.

Emergency services, including firefighters and financial police, arrived promptly at the scene with two helicopters, but doctors confirmed the death of the two climbers. They had reportedly traveled to Lombardy from Germany for a vacation.
