Italy: Bus Driver Dies After Fan Attack Following Basketball Game

A bus driver has died in Italy following an attack by fans after a basketball game. The incident occurred on the A2 highway, near the city of Rieti.
65-year-old Raffaele Marianella, an employee of Jimmy Travel, was killed when the bus carrying fans of the Pistoia basketball team was attacked by fans of Rieti Sebastiani. According to initial reports, a brick struck Marianella while he was in the co-driver's seat.
Police are conducting an investigation into intentional homicide. Italian Sports Minister Andrea Abodi called the attack "shocking."
