Italy: Three Minor Sisters Drowned on Migrant Boat

Tragedy in Italy: Three minor sisters lost their lives when the boat carrying them along with other migrants capsized. The bodies of the girls, aged 9, 11, and 17, were found inside the boat.
According to the RESQSHIP charity, the boat was "dangerously overloaded" and faced waves up to 1.5 meters high. The boat had departed from Libya.
Among the 65 migrants rescued, three were pregnant women and one was a 7-month-old baby. The rescues were carried out by the RESQSHIP vessel Nadir, which was alerted by the Alarm Phone rescue hotline.
Meanwhile, on the islands of Spain, migrant arrivals are a daily occurrence. In the Balearic Islands, 4,700 migrants have arrived this summer. Twelve migrants are missing after falling into the sea from a vessel heading to the Balearic Islands.
