Italy: Three Dead in A1 Highway Accident - Truck Crashes into Ambulance

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Italy on the A1 highway between Arezzo and Florence. A truck crashed into stationary vehicles due to traffic congestion, resulting in three fatalities and 15 injuries.
According to Corriere della Sera, the accident happened shortly before 11 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the truck failed to brake in time and collided with several vehicles, including an ambulance.
The ambulance was carrying a 75-year-old patient and two paramedics, all of whom were killed instantly. Of the 15 injured, one is hospitalized in critical condition.
Paolo Romaglioli, a lawyer from Arezzo and an eyewitness, stated that he narrowly avoided the accident by braking in time. The highway remained closed for several hours.
