Storm Erminio Sweeps Through Greece with Heavy Rains and Gale-Force Winds

Storm Erminio is hitting Greece, causing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gale-force winds. In Attica, rainfall is particularly intense, resulting in a 112 emergency alert message advising people to restrict their movements.
112 messages were also sent to Central Greece, Thessaly, and other regions, warning residents to limit their travel. The port authorities of Chania and Heraklion have imposed sailing bans due to the gale-force winds.
The EMY (Hellenic National Meteorological Service) has issued an emergency bulletin for dangerous weather phenomena, forecasting heavy rains and thunderstorms in many parts of the country. Meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias warned of intense phenomena in Attica, while Klearchos Marousakis spoke of a nationwide storm.
