Severe weather has struck areas of Western Greece, causing floods, power outages, and flight cancellations. The most affected areas are Corfu, Kozani, Grevena, and Kastoria.

In Corfu, flights were canceled and shops were flooded. In Kefalonia, there were problems with the power supply. In Kozani and Grevena, strong winds caused widespread power outages and fires. In Ioannina, a concert stage collapsed due to strong winds. In Kastoria, a destructive storm caused damage to infrastructure and crops.

In Corfu, 126 millimeters of rain fell in one hour, causing flooding and the cancellation of 29 flights at the airport. In Kozani and Grevena, winds caused trees to fall and power outages in more than 38 settlements. In Ioannina, the collapse of a concert stage caused hundreds of thousands of euros in damage. In Kastoria, winds reached 8 to 9 Beaufort, causing extensive damage to crops and infrastructure.

Crews are working to repair the damage and restore power to the affected areas.
