Severe weather has caused significant damage in Western and Northwestern Greece, characterized by heavy rainfall. Areas in Epirus, Corfu, and Kastoria are facing serious problems.

Epirus: According to Giannis Kallianos, the region received the amount of rain that usually falls in Athens in a year, all within five days. Parts of the provincial road network have been destroyed, and houses have been flooded. The Bailey bridge on the Arachthos River sustained serious damage, cutting off the Ioannina-Pramanta provincial road. The municipalities of Ziros, Filiates, and Pogoni were declared in a state of emergency.

Corfu: Closed roads and fallen trees mark the scene in the Antiperni settlement. The Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis & Civil Protection, Kostas Katsafados, visited the island.

Kastoria: Large areas have been flooded, but the water level of the Aliakmon River has receded. The Municipality of Nestorio was declared in a State of Emergency Civil Protection.

According to meteo.gr, over 400 millimeters of rain were recorded in the mountains of Epirus from November 18 to 21, 2025.

Similar problems were reported in Kalambaka, where streams overflowed, causing landslides and power outages.
