Storm Chandra: Rescues, Floods, and Thousands Without Power in Ireland

Storm Chandra has caused widespread flooding in Ireland, with emergency services carrying out driver rescues in Dublin. Approximately 30,000 households were left without power.
In the capital, the Dublin Fire Brigade reported that crews were deployed to assist residents and respond to incidents. Drivers were rescued from floodwaters on Tuesday morning as the storm brought heavy rainfall and gale-force winds.
Among the worst-hit areas was Enniscorthy in County Wexford, where the River Slaney overflowed. Authorities are advising drivers to choose alternative routes.
A Yellow warning for rain is in effect for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford until 11 p.m.
