Heatwave conditions prevailed in Greece on Saturday, with the highest temperature recorded in Amfilochia, reaching 45.2 degrees Celsius.

According to the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr, the highest temperatures were recorded in the western and southern mainland parts of the country.

In 306 out of 554 active stations, the temperature exceeded 37 °C, while in 78 stations it exceeded 40 °C and in 24 stations it exceeded 42 °C.

In Attica, the temperature exceeded 40°C at the Harokopio University of Athens (40.8°C), Piraeus (40.1°C), Patissia (40.1°C) and Agios Kosmas (40.1°C).

Weather forecast: For Sunday 27-07-2025, generally clear weather is expected with temporary clouds in the central and northern mainland. The winds will blow 4 to 6 Beaufort and the temperature will drop slightly in the west. In Athens it will reach 39 to 40 degrees Celsius.
