Heatwave: Updated Hellenic Meteorological Service Bulletin – End of Alert on Sunday

The Hellenic Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an updated bulletin regarding the heatwave, predicting that high temperatures will persist until Sunday. Minimum temperatures will remain high, especially in urban centers, while strong northerly winds will prevail in the Aegean Sea from Friday.
According to meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens, the highest maximum temperatures will be recorded in the eastern, central, and northern mainland areas, and the islands of the Eastern Aegean. For example, on Wednesday (23-07-25) in Thessaly the mercury will reach 43°C, while in Athens and Thessaloniki it will be 39-40°C.

- Wednesday: Thessaly 43°C, Athens 39-40°C, Thessaloniki 39°C
- Thursday: Thessaly 42-43°C, Athens 41-42°C, Thessaloniki 39-40°C
- Friday: West 43°C, Athens 41-42°C, Thessaloniki 38-39°C
- Saturday: West 43°C, Athens 40-41°C, Thessaloniki 38-39°C
