Kevin Spacey: Settles Sexual Assault Claims Out of Court

American actor Kevin Spacey has reached an out-of-court settlement with three men who accused him of sexual assault, avoiding a new trial in Britain.
The 66-year-old actor was acquitted in 2023 by a London court in a criminal trial on similar charges. Two of the plaintiffs from the first trial, along with British actor Ruari Cannon, who waived his right to anonymity, filed civil suits.
The trial was scheduled for October 2026, but the two sides reached an agreement, resulting in a London court ordering the suspension of proceedings. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
The allegations against Spacey began in 2017, at the start of the #MeToo movement, when the actor was at the peak of his career with the series "House of Cards."
