Cordoba: Fire at Mosque-Cathedral extinguished

A fire that broke out in a historic mosque and cathedral in Cordoba has been extinguished, according to the city's mayor. The UNESCO World Heritage Site was 'saved' thanks to the immediate intervention of the fire brigade.

José María Bellido stated via X that the fire has been extinguished and fire and police teams will remain on site to prevent a resurgence.
