Kosovo Elections: Political Crisis and Expectations

Kosovo holds parliamentary elections on Sunday, amid a prolonged political crisis. The party of caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti is expected to win, but without a majority.
Analysts estimate that Kurti's Self-Determination (LVV) movement will remain the leading party, but without an absolute majority. In the previous elections, the LVV received 42.3% of the vote.
The second strongest party is expected to be the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), led by Bedri Hamza. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) is expected to be the third political force.
In the Serbian community, the Serbian List, supported by Belgrade, is expected to dominate. According to the Constitution, 20 of the 120 seats in parliament belong to minorities.
The polls will open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm. A total of 2,076,290 citizens are eligible to vote.
