Kyriakos Pierrakakis: Successful Crash Test at Eurogroup

Kyriakos Pierrakakis, as President of the Eurogroup, faced a stormy start in Brussels, amid international tensions and economic challenges.
The meeting was marked by geopolitical crises, such as the war in Ukraine and trade pressures from the US, as well as the need to elect a new Vice-President of the European Central Bank (ECB).
Despite the difficulties, Mr. Pierrakakis managed to reach an agreement on the election of Croatian Boris VujÄiÄ as Vice-President of the ECB, demonstrating diplomatic skills and efficiency.
Furthermore, he stressed the need for Europe to accelerate its pace and adopt a 'deliver fast' model to address challenges.
European sources reported that Mr. Pierrakakis' ability to resolve issues quickly creates political capital for the Eurozone.
