French authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the Louvre Museum robbery, following an investigation based on video analysis, DNA, and phone data. According to Le Figaro, the arrests took place on Saturday night.

Paris Prosecutor, Laure Beccuau, stated that approximately 150 DNA and fingerprint samples were taken at the crime scene. The suspects had been under surveillance for several days and are considered experienced burglars, possibly acting on orders.

French media reported that one of those arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport was preparing to travel to Algeria, while the second, arrested near Paris, was planning to travel to Mali.

Despite the arrests, the stolen goods, worth approximately 88 million euros, remain missing. The jewels that were not stolen have been transferred to the Bank of France.

Interior Minister, Laurent Nuñez, congratulated the police for the arrests, while Laure Beccuau expressed her dissatisfaction with the leak of information.
