Maria Kovolchuk: 20-year-old model describes Dubai nightmare

Maria Kovolchuk, a 20-year-old model from Ukraine, described the horrific experiences she endured in Dubai in an interview with Russian presenter Xenia Sobchak.

Kovolchuk, while recovering in Norway, explained that the problems started when she missed her flight from Dubai to Thailand. A Russian man, whom she had met at a karaoke bar, offered to host her. According to the DailyMail, the man was with another man and two women.

As she claims, the next day, the men began to behave aggressively, drinking very strong alcohol and taking her personal belongings, including her passport. Kovolchuk stated that the men implied they wanted to have sexual relations with her, but she did not respond.

When she tried to escape, they pulled her back into the room. Later, she tried to hide in a construction site, but they allegedly found her. Kovolchuk claims she does not remember the violence that caused her injuries, and security camera videos have been deleted.

Her next memory is asking for help from a passing car, which called an ambulance and the police. The two men were apprehended and detained for one day by the Dubai police.

The model had been missing for eight days, and ten days later she was found dumped on the side of a road in Dubai with broken limbs and spine.
