Marseille: Van Hits Students After School Trip – 11 Injured

Eleven people, including nine students, were injured when a van hit them in Marseille, France. The incident occurred after they returned from a school trip.
According to La Provence newspaper, the van driver had parked the vehicle on a sloping road and left. The handbrake reportedly malfunctioned, causing the van to roll and hit about 20 children and three adults.
An 8-year-old boy was seriously injured. The driver underwent alcohol and drug tests. An investigation has been launched into negligent bodily harm.
The mayor of Marseille, Benoît Payan, expressed his support for the victims and their families.
