New Zealand: 27-year-old arrested for traveling with child in suitcase

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested in New Zealand after allegedly traveling with a two-year-old child locked inside a suitcase. The incident came to light when a bus driver, during a stop in Kaiwaka, noticed movement inside the suitcase and alerted the police.

According to police officer Simon Harrison, the woman is charged with child abuse and neglect. The child, although hot, appeared to be in good condition and is hospitalized for examination. Harrison stressed that the driver's intervention prevented a much worse outcome.
